You see, this was the very first song I heard from In Flames, in 2003 and that's why it has an emotional value for me. I know, I had to learn about this band at their sixth album (where was I when Clayman was released? What's wrong with me?!), but it's never too late. Unfortunately, I don't read many charming reviews about Reroute To Remain and many In Flames hardcore fans seem to agree with it. Anyway, as I said before, that was the song that showed me the In Flames' point of view for the Swedish death metal. Back to Cloud Connected, Anders' voice is really good and unique. The music is easy going and in my opinion the sound is crystal clear. Some instrumental parts are more heavy, than melodic death metal and the guitar solo (and the whole bridge) is not one of the best the band ever wrote, but is still really good. The best part is that you can recognize the fantastic band's sound during the first ten seconds and that's why the song remains a great sample of the In Flames' legacy.

Lyrics:
People like you
You live in a dream world
You despise the outside
And you fear next one!
It's in your dream
There's just one question
Should I kill?
Or should I be left behind?
Sick and tired
Of all your complaints
This is the hour
We bring it down!
I've come to realise
With everylittle glimpse, you fade
I was told that I could fly
When least expected,
Cloud Connected!
You seem to be
So introverted
How come we fail
With all that is given?
You crossed the line
You remember my name
Time runs backwards
As we're heading that way!
I've come to realise
Every little glimpse, you fade
I was told that I could fly
When least expected,
Cloud Connected!
I've come to realise
Every little glimpse, you fade
I was told that I could fly
When least expected,
Cloud Connected!
