Edge of Thorns was the last studio album for Criss Oliva (R.I.P.) and the first for Zak Stevens and his clear and loud voice. With Jon away form the public lights, Zak had the opportunity to become a part of the great (and painful) history of Savatage and of course to perform a great and classic progressive/heavy metal song. The intro is just fantastic and so unique and for sure the vocal line suits perfectly to Zak's voice. I should also refer to the superb instrumental parts and the really good bridge. Fantastic and classic song! Enjoy!

Lyrics:
anymore, anymore oh oh oh, yeah yeah
An offering of reasons
We put them all and play
A covering of treasons
That one by one we let slip away
A solitary dancer
So lost upon her stage
I have seen you on the edge of dawn
Felt you here before you were born
Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns
But I don't think about you anymore
A study made from winter
Of summers long ago
And dreams that used to glitter
Safely now hidden under snow
And so we end the chapter
And let the stage lights fade
I have seen you on the edge of dawn
Felt you here before you were born
Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns
But I don't think about you anymore
I have seen you on the edge of dawn
Felt you here before you were born
Balanced your dreams upon the edge of thorns
But I don't think about you anymore
Anymore...
I don't think about you..
anymore
anymore, oh
I don't think about you
I don't think about you anymore
