Extraordinary intro. Two lead guitars singing the same melody. I love this kind of composition almost in every single song that I hear it. I could say, that only because of the intro (of course, all the other parts helped toward this direction!) the song made its way to my not to lose list... Wishbone Ash, back in the 70's, made their own history (they still do) and become a part of the multilevel british rock/hard rock and heavy metal scene, which influenced and still does, a great part of the music I love. I enjoy music history lessons and searching about this song was a fantastic chance to feed my curiosity and learn new stuff. Enjoy!

Lyrics:

Only searching for an answer.

Throw down the sword,
The fight is done and over,
Neither lost, neither won.

To cast away the fury of the battle
And turn my weary eyes for home.

There were times when I stood at death's own door
Only hoping for an answer.

Throw down the sword,
And leave the glory
A story time can never change.

To walk the road, the load I have to carry
A journey's end, a wounded soul.

There were times when I stood at death's own door
